In memoriam: These are the TV people we have lost so far in 2017

The entertainment industry has lost giants in Mary Tyler Moore, Roger Moore, Adam West and more.

With the year halfway over, we wanted to take time to reflect back upon all those we have lost in the television industry. True pioneers and giants have passed away in 2017, from stars to power players behind the camera.

The death of Mary Tyler Moore shook the entertainment industry. Few people have had a larger influence on the artform of the sitcom than the big-hearted, brilliant comedic mind. We also had to say goodbye to the men who portrayed childhood heroes such as Batman, The Saint, Mannix and Captain Apollo.

Each death has brought an outpouring of sympathy in public. We have witnessed touching tributes to Erin Moran and Adam West from costars and celebrities.

Here are some of the television luminaries who died this year.
