This guy is your new MacGyver
One of the X-Men will soon be saving the day with duct tape and chewing gum.

Thirty-one years after he first stopped a sulfuric acid leak with a chocolate bar, MacGyver — and his many ingenious inventions — is returning in a big way. As we previously reported, the character is returning on screens large and small with two reboots, an upcoming film for Lionsgate and an upcoming series for CBS. We asked you who should wear the flight jacket and aviator shades, and the overwhelming response was Christian Kane.
Well, it's not going to be him.
According to Deadline, Lucas Till has been cast in the role of Angus MacGyver for television. The action series serves as a prequel to the original show, and it begins with the character's recruitment. Relative newcomer Joshua Boone has also been cast as Gunner, Mac's high school buddy.
Till is perhaps best known for portraying the mutant Havok in X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past and the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. In 2009, he co-starred in Hannah Montana: The Movie, as seen above.
There is still no word on who will play MacGyver in the cinematic version.
