The latest Star Trek Christmas ornament has arrived

We want the adorable little figure of Kirk driving an Enterprise car.

Friendly reminder: Christmas is about three month away. We know, we can't believe it either. Christmas will be here before you know it. Hallmark is on top of the winter holiday, as always. Today, the greeting card giant released its latest Star Trek Keepsake Ornament.

Created by Orville Wilson, the commemorative 50th anniversary ornament depicts Captain James T. Kirk proudly (but oh so coolly) sitting in his captain's chair. Next to him are the trusty Mr. Spock and Dr. McCoy. If you push the button placed in front of Captain Kirk, the scene comes to life with dialogue from Star Trek: The Original Series. The ornament measures in at 7.4" wide, 5.7" high.

The ornament will be available from Hallmark.com on October 1 — for the price of $74.95. Some fans are not crazy about the likenesses and the price.

No worries. Also available this year are an adorable Captain Kirk Squeelys collectible vinyl figure ($19.95) and Chekov ornament ($15.95). Kirk is driving a little Enterprise car! Of course, nothing beats the amazing Salt Monster ornament
