Too easy. Hanna-Barbera (or network S&Ps handling Saturday-morning cartoons) would never have let a writer have Scooby and the gang investigate a murder, and Columbo was a homicide detective, so with only one exception, IIRC, he only tackled murder cases.
Really? If anyone was murdered (or trained to murder as in the dog question) it wasn't on Scooby Doo. Simple as that.
