Who said it: Potter from M*A*S*H or Granny from The Beverly Hillbillies

Head for the hills.

 The Everett Collection
Did you know that both Daisy Moses from The Beverly Hillbillies and Col. Sherman T. Potter from M*A*S*H both hail from the Ozarks?

if you're a fan of both shows, you certainly might've picked up on it...

Both characters embraced a country way of cookin' up the oddest insults and exclamations, so we got to thinking, it might be tricky to tell the two apart, if you compare their backwoods-y words side by side.

Think you know Sherman's famous "Potterisms" from Granny's scrappy native tongue? Put yourself to the test below!

Watch M*A*S*H on MeTV!

11 out of 12. Should have been 12 for 12 but quiz said I picked Daisy Moses which was wrong but I actually clicked on Sherman Potter which was the right answer.

"You got 12 out of 12. You win! No need to run for the hills." Of course not; I live in the hills!

I always thought the Clampetts were from Tennessee until the movie came out. I don't know where Bugtussle was supposed to be, but they also mentioned Limestone several times, and there is a real Limestone, TN, not very far from here.

This quiz reminded me of the perfect Granny-ism. If I'm a little fuzzy, correct me. I believe that early in the series, Mr. Drysdale wanted to incorporate the Clampetts for tax purposes, so he designated Jed as president and Granny as vice-president. Granny didn't want her position because she thought vice meant evil [and in fact the Dick Cheney movie makes a pretty good argument...LOL!!]. Jed's solution was to change the V on her plaque to a N, making her the nice president!!

11/12. Missed the last one. Otherwise the choices seemed pretty clear cut.
