They were all iconic TV cowboys but do you remember their other Westerns?

It takes a true trivia cowboy to pass this quiz.

You know them as Lucas McCain, Matt Dillon, Paladin and Maverick… but they played other characters.

Some Western stars are too good to pin down into just one role. No wonder networks kept bringing familiar cowboy actors back in new series.

See how well you remember TV Western history and the resume of its biggest names!

6/10. Not bad since I never really got into the western series.

I did not remember the other Westerns because those Westerns were not memorable. However, these shows, for the most part, gave these actors very valuable acting experience, or maybe there's something about having to share the scene with a horse that allowed them to become not only comfortable in the saddle, but comfortable in the role.

I missed #8 by not following my first impulse.
BTW, I like how MeTV surfaces some of these older quizzes with "Related" links in more current Stories!

10/10 The Westerns have always been my favorite programs to watch - I would like to see "Cheyenne",
"Tombstone Territory" & "The Rebel" added to Saturday's lineup

A pathetic 3 out of 10, considering I like all these actors

Perfect game. Westerns are my absolute passion and specialty.

Me-TV needs to show some of these lesser-known westerns instead of continuing to recycle the same old tired sitcoms.

You mean the same old tired westerns.

7/10. I remember my father (R.I.P.) was a big TV western fan. I remember when "McCloud" came on and he said "Oh, that's Chester from 'Gunsmoke'." All I knew at that time was Festus, then he explained who Chester was. He also remembered Adam's name after he left "Bonanza", all I remembered was a man who always wore black.

10/10. Surprisingly easy for me. Nichols aired fairly recently here, it might have been on another channel. I'd never heard of it before, and I don't think many others have either. Not a memorable show.

I remember watching Nichols when I was on network TV; I liked it back then. Haven't seen it since, though, so I don't know what I would think about it today. But I always loved watching James Garner!

Missed #8. Not bad, considering I didn't watch much in the way of westerns. Loved Nichols, High Chaparral and the Wild, Wild West.

10/10! Wouldn't Dirty Larry have been a great reboot of Have Gun? "Do you feel lucky, padre"...LOL! Maverick was rebooted in the '80's and should have been mentioned! Kodiak was not a Western, Walker was a state officer in Alaska!
You mean Dirty Larry, or Dirty Harry?
The Quiz said Larry, but they might have meant Harry...LOL!
