Dan Haggerty's costar in The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams was one very classy bear named Bozo
We're sure that they had a bear of a time together.

Sometimes, the chemistry between two co-stars can lead to a lifelong friendship. Other times, volatile tempers can turn co-stars into enemies, resulting in a feud that lingers long after filming wraps. Acting can be a tumultuous business, and far too often, petty egos can stand in the way of creating a good piece of art.
Luckily, Dan Haggerty didn't have to worry about any of those things. What he did have to worry about, however, was being mauled by his co-star, which plenty of actors would never admit to.
Haggerty was the star of The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams, a series which ran from 1977 to 1978. Haggerty's character was a woodsman who fled to the wild after being falsely accused of murder.
There, he discovers a newfound appreciation for nature. While Adams doesn't interact with too many people throughout the series, his best friend throughout the show is a grizzly bear that he names Ben.
If the series were created today, perhaps Ben would have been generated by a computer. However, The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams had the rare ability to brag that their show had employed an actual performing bear to play the role of Ben.
During an interview with the Grand Forks Herald, Haggerty revealed that not only did he enjoy working with his furry co-star, but he deeply respected her as well.
"Her name is Boz, as in Bozo," said the actor. "Not a really classy name, but she's classy. She's terrific. She's owned by a man named Lloyd Beebe, whose farm is outside Sequim, Wash. Her trainer is Terry Roland, but my being a trainer helps keep me aware of Boz's moods."
