Anson Williams wasn't the only singer on the Happy Days cast

Think of all the musical acts we could have had!

Happy Days wasn't just a home for friendship and excellent comedy; a few select episodes would also offer some incredible music performances. Plenty of fans remember when one character, Potsie Weber, shared his dulcet tones and indulged us with a song. However, according to an article in The Palm Beach Post, there were almost two singers in the Happy Days cast!

Donny Most, better known as Ralph Most, grew up singing from a very young age. "I was singing at like 14, 15 years old in the Catskill Mountains," said Most. "I changed courses, and four years later, when Happy Days came along, at first I wasn't thinking about the singing aspect, but just trying to figure out who this character was."

But as time went on and Most got a better sense of his role, he thought it might be wise to pursue series creator Gerry Marshall.

"Anson wrote in his book that he went to Garry in the first season," said Most. "[He] said, 'The show's about the '50s, with drive-ins and girls in poodle skirts. You might do something with Arnold's with music. So I saw that we had a band, and Anson was doing all the singing, so my agent and I set up a meeting with Garry about me singing."

Unfortunately, Marshall's response was less than ideal. "He looks at me," said Most, "and says, 'If I was producing an act, and I had a juggler, why would I need two jugglers?' and that was pretty much it."
