8 of 10 , not bad as I was never a big fan of his missed on ewaltons and Perry Masonary , thought he was on masonary
7 out of 10, but can I point out a technicality here? While Roberts didn't appear in an episode of the Perry Mason series per se, he DID appear in one of the Perry Mason movies, The Case of the All-Star Assassin. He was even the murder victim in that film!
His Mannix episode was the basis for the 'sequel' episode that Diagnosis: Murder did 24 years later, as part of CBS's 50th Anniversary...they wanted to do crossovers with then-current hit shows and classics, and this DM episode had Dr. Mark Sloan teaming up with his patient, Joe Mannix, to solve the only case he couldn't solve (funny, but if you watch the Mannix episode, it seemed like Joe solved it!). In addition to Pernell and (of course) Mike Connors, Julie Adams and Beverly Garland reprised their roles from the original Mannix episode.

Wow. I don't remember him in Love Boat, that would've been interesting. Nor in Mannix, and that episode was on within the last couple of months!
He was also on The Rockford Files. Oops, that's a getTV series LOL.
8/10 I'm truly between a rock and a hard place when it comes to Pernell Roberts being justified to place his moral principles over establishing a stable career as Adam Cartwright on Bonanza. He had some really good storylines on Bonanza, such as my favorite "The Crucible" co-starring Lee Marvin. He really stood out as the eldest of the Cartwright men, I believe his character was irreplaceable although I did feel actor Barry Coe featured in the episode "First Born" where Little Joe discovers he has a half brother. He was considered to be a good replacement for Pernell Roberts but Micheal Landon rejected him because of Coe's good looks. After leaving Bonanza and a bunch of "guest starring" roles on a bunch of westerns and detective shows, it took Mr. Roberts 14 years to re-establish his career with Trapper John M.D in 1979. Which I feel Pernell did not prove anything by leaving Bonanza taking all those years to become truly relevant again. I'm a bonefide Bonanza fan of Bonanza watching mostly if not all the syndicated rerun episodes from the first episode (1959) to the last episode. (1973). I feel fortunate to watch all those episodes being that Bonanza is a little before my time being born in 1966 but thanks to MeTV and TV Land I am able to enjoy the TV westerns of yester year. I thank Mr. Pernell Roberts for those wonderful 6 seasons on Bonanza I truly had appreciated his talent and professionalism throughout the show and beyond. Mr.Roberts was the first to leave Bonanza and the last of the main stars of the show to pass away. The only co-stars left alive are Mitch Vogel (Jamie Hunter) and Tim Matheson (Griff King). R.IP to all.

He was not a very nice man when you met him.
I think part of the problem with Pernell was that he took himself too seriously...he was an actor trained in the classics who, while he always gave it his best, looked down on the scripts that were written for television. He pissed and moaned about the scripts while he was on Bonanza and was still doing so while on Trapper John, M.D. As one friend of his said, "Ah, that's Pernell for you. He's just upset because they won't let him bring Chekhov to City Hospital!".
