Do you know the titles to various classic movie sequels?

If you had to choose, are you watching any of the sequels, or sticking with the original?

The timeless battle of original vs. sequels. It's generally the debate when it comes to franchises with more than one movie. Whether they’re labeled as sequels or prequels, have the same title or something different, plenty of trilogies and other movie series go far beyond just the original.

From Agent 007 to the classic slasher films, see if you can point out the correct title to various sequels across classic movies.

After the first James Bond movie titled Dr. No, over 20 more films were released, all with varying titles different from the original.

One of the most recognizable movie series ever created, Star Wars, has eight direct storyline films that were released after the original in 1977.

This is your chance to put you memory and movie skills to the test! Can you identify the correct sequel titles based on our clues? Take this quiz and let us know!

Good luck!

10 out of 12. The two I missed were the ones on Halloween and Star Wars. I couldn't care less about either of those.

I very seldom went to the cinema. I think I can count the number of times I went to the cinema on one hand. I'm more of a TV watcher. I love my classic TV shows. I got 6/12.

There are some glaring mistakes in this quiz. Mad Max only had 3 sequels, not 4 (although Fury Road is technically a reboot). The original Planet of the Apes had 4 sequels, not 7 (the 2001 and 2014 films, the latter of which has its own sequels, are reboots). Revenge of the Pink Panther is the 6th film in the Pink Panther series, not the 7th

10 out of 12. The only two I got wrong were "Nightmare on Elm Street 5" and "The Dead Pool" -probably because I never saw either film.
