As I recall, every single scene was on a sound stage. Despite this being set on a farm, I don't remember any scenes taped in an actual field outside.
9/10 I can't believe I missed the Monkees.
The lyrics they have on here are from the album (extended) version. Not the actual show itself. Its understandable it threw you off.
That explains why it was no problem for me. I got the Monkees album from a church garage sale as a kid and played the stuffings outta that thing on my hand-me-down portable record player. 😉
