Beware for those who have a fear of flying, we're cleared for takeoff on "Flight 7500" Tonight!

Posted on January 17, 2026

Tonight on MeTV- our favorite man in the hat is letting us, the Sven Squad – Gwengoolie, Nostalgiaferatoo and IMP aka Ignatius Malvolio Prankenstein - take over hosting duties for the evening. Sven will be here, but we’re steering this ship, or more accurately for tonight, flying this plane! We’d like to welcome you aboard House of Svengoolie’s “Flight 7500” with service from Los Angeles to Tokyo. Our flying time will be approximately 13 hours, but don’t worry, tonight’s film is only 2 hours. We would like to add a special welcome to our SVENBLOG members who will be earning maybe a few scary dreams for your viewing of our film with us tonight.

While we are here to ensure that you do have a comfortable trip with us, we are also concerned about your safety and the safety of everyone in this film. And by everyone, we mean it. This plane en route from LA to Tokyo is crowded! We’ve got a thief named Jake; newlyweds Rick and Liz; two more vacationing couples - Brad and Pia and Lyn and Jack; another young lady, Raquel; a goth named Jacinta; and as what every international flight needs, a businessman named Lance traveling with a spooky wooden box. Your crew for this evening’s trip includes flight attendants Suzy and Laura, with Captain Pete flying in the cockpit. Spoiler alert: that same Captain Pete is married and having an affair with the aforementioned flight attendant Laura.

Flight 7500 hits some rough turbulence early in their flight and then the winds smooth out. But inside the plane, it’s anything but smooth. A passenger dies, some water bottles smash themselves – a sign that the cabin pressure is dropping and things only get worse from there. People disappear, some question their life choices while others open Lance’s wooden box and discover a “death doll” and the fate of all onboard is in question.

This 2014 film was made by CBS Films and Lionsgate and helmed by Japanese director Takashi Shimizu. We’ll give you background on the film introduce you to the cast who include Jerry Ferrer, Leslie Bibb, Amy Smart, Jamie Chung, Ryan Kwanten, Alex Frost, Nicky Whelan, Christian Serratos, Scout Taylor-Compton and we’ll stop here even though there are more actors. Next time we’ll just list everyone who is NOT starring in this film. We’ll bring you a new song “Cabin Pressure” that’s all about real star of tonight’s film … cabin pressure. Sven News will report on Flight 7500’s fate with Gwen on the news desk, Nostalgiaferatoo as our always intrepid field reporter and aviation expert and retired pilot, Miles High breaking down what really happened to Flight 7500. And yes, Miles High does very much resemble IMP and IMP’s depth of knowledge on all things aviation. We’ll also answer some viewer mail in our hit “Tomb It May Concern” segment.

“Flight 7500” starts at 8 pm Eastern/Pacific time, 7 pm Central on MeTV. You can join in the live chat during the show on Bluesky, or the live Tweeting on Twitter/X - just be sure to include the hashtag #svengoolie and #houseofsvengoolie on your posts on either one.
