15/20. I did really like Jeff Hunter as Pike. Shatner was one of the 3 biggest egos of '60s TV. The others - Robert Vaughn (U.N.C.L.E.) and Robert Conrad (Wild, Wild West). Absolutely loved all 3 of these guys and shows!

I always felt Jeffery Hunter would have made a better captain on Trek.

I hate to say it ...... but I kinda agree with you.

Conrad was handsome and in tip top physical condition, and the women loved him.
I guess I would have an ego too.

Big MeTV and classic TV fan, first time commentor! Something else that Shatner and Leonard Nimoy had in common: Both played the murderer in an episode of "Columbo!" Shatner played 2 different killers in fact, once during the original run in the 70's, and again during the 90's revival. Also, pretty much the entire main cast of Star Trek appeared at least once as guest stars on Bonanza.

Nimoy played the killer on an episode of Perry Mason. George Takei and DeForest Kelley both appeared on a couple of different episodes of PM.

They left out a couple of eps of Mission: Impossible. No, Leonoard Nimoy was not in either of them.

Sorry to bust your bubble, but William Shatner NEVER appeared in The Rookies (1972-1976).
He did appear, however, in T J Hooker (1982-1986), as the main character.
Interesting bit of trivia about The Rookies.
A 1975 episode with Steve Forrest as Hondo Harrelson, was the start of SWAT (1975-1976).
