Meet Alex Arnold: Inside the Collection

X marks the spot with this treasure trove of Indiana Jones memorabilia!

Jul. 13, 2025

Alex is known as "The Indy Guy" because of his love and passion for collecting all things Indiana Jones. He was just five years old when he was introduced to the iconic adventurer and was instantly hooked.

Unlike superheroes with superpowers, Indiana Jones felt relatable to Alex and inspired him to uncover every collectible treasure he could find.

Although the spark was lit early, he didn’t begin collecting until 2016, when his mother gave him a Blockbuster-exclusive resin box that held a set of Indiana Jones DVDs. That one gift unearthed a passion, and the hunt for memorabilia was on.

Since then, Alex has tracked down nearly a hundred items from the franchise—each one a priceless artifact in his personal Temple of Collectibles.

X marks the spot— take a look at this incredible collection!

1. Indiana Jones Resin Case

This is the item that started it all for Alex! It’s a resin DVD case that was available exclusively at Blockbuster in 2008 alongside the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

It’s a beautiful collectible and one of Alex’s favorites because of the sentimental value it holds.

Today, these cases are incredibly hard to find. In fact, our expert has never even seen one in person. He called it one of the most beautiful DVD cases he’s ever come across. What do you think?

According to our expert, this piece could be worth around $1,000 due to its rarity. But since it’s the artifact that launched Alex’s entire adventure, it is worth far more in his heart.

2. Indiana Jones Crew Gifts

These are exclusive crew items given to those who worked on Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Someone who was part of the production team reached out to Alex and helped him complete his search for these rare pieces.

The Indy hat is embroidered with "Crew Xmas 2021," and the accompanying bag is one of Alex’s favorites. The leather straps are stamped with "Indy," and the interior features incredible detailing.

This is a unique piece not only because of the craftsmanship, but also because these items were only given to crew members, making them rare outside of resale.

Our expert valued this set at $2,500. For collectors, this is a holy grail kind of find!

3. Indiana Jones Ceremonial Staff

This is an unearthed gem! It’s a ceremonial staff from Raiders of the Lost Ark— a digital scan recreated from the original movie prop.

Many fans will recognize it instantly; it’s a true piece of movie history.

Alex spent countless hours creating videos to showcase this treasure. It’s a high-end collectible and considered a holy grail item for many Indiana Jones fans.

Today, it’s very valuable. According to our expert, it could go for $4,000 or more.

It’s not just a prop—it’s a work of art and a powerful relic from cinematic history. A gem so special, even Indiana Jones himself would be proud!

4. Indiana Jones Xbox Controller

This is an Indiana Jones-themed Xbox controller with a leather exterior and gold-leaf buttons designed to resemble gems.

To promote the game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Alex was flown to Los Angeles to play it for two hours—then flown back home—all before the game had even been released. As part of the promotion, they sent him this limited-edition controller to review and showcase.

As far as Alex knows, only about 11 of these controllers exist. You can’t buy one because it was created as a promotional item for the game, and it holds a lot of memories for him.

Today, this rare collectible is valued at around $2,500. It’s a modern-day relic worthy of any adventurer’s collection!

5. Indiana Jones Promo Case

These crates were given to Alex during a private Indiana Jones event at Walt Disney World for the release of Dial of Destiny.

He had his eye on one of the themed crates used in the display, but they weren’t meant to be taken home. However, just as he was leaving, he got a call from someone at Lucasfilm who surprised him by gifting them to him.

Alex loves the way the crate looks—it screams Indiana Jones and feels personal, coming from someone closely connected to the franchise.

This piece is especially rare because the crates were created specifically for special events and displays. There likely aren’t many out there.

According to our expert, it could be worth around $1,500. But to Alex, it’s a priceless piece of the adventure.

6. Raiders of the Lost Ark Poster

This is an Indiana Jones promotional poster that Alex discovered on eBay. He scored it at a bargain price for what’s actually a high-value item.

The poster is massive, and according to our expert, he had only ever seen it in a smaller version. It was originally used in a movie theater and is truly a sign of the times.

This piece is rare not only because of its size, but also because a custom frame had to be made to accommodate it.

According to our expert, it could be worth $2,000 or more.
