I think this was the first and only time Spock, in his own way, tried to show support and sympathy to McCoy when he grabbed his shoulder.

9/10. An okay episode. The voice of the Oracle is very ominous & threatening, like Fesarius' voice in "Corbomite Maneuver".

10/10. Intriguing concepts in this episode.
Harlan Ellison's The Starlost (1973~1974) science fiction series shared a somewhat similar premise to it as this Trek episode. On Stralost you had a enormous generational ship sent into space to escape a ruined Earth. It was headed directly into a star, the inhabitants of the Earth Ship Ark had long forgotten they were on board a spaceship and believed that their individual biospheres were worlds unto themselves.

6/10. Highly illogical. Indeed, I thought I would ace this one.

8/10. I only knew the second question because I have polycythemia vera and it sounds similar.
