Sad news: Robert Haimer, Billy's partner in Barnes & Barnes died at 69! Bonus Question:What is their most famous song?
Fun Fact: Mumy was in the 80's remake of 1 AND he did BOTH reboots of It's A Good Life: a cameo in the movie and a middle-aged Anthony on TZ 3.0! Anthony's daughter was Billy's daughter!
7 for 9. Saw him at a Star Trek/LIS convention, small stage with only about 70 people gathered,
the crowd was at other end with the Trek people. I asked Harris about residuals, he exploded
and cursed me out. Holy crap, Dr. Smith cursed me! dropping the effete affectation and
talking in pure Bronx.
Mumy stifled a laugh and went over to Harris and calmed him down, while the other actors
rolled their eyes.
I would have preferred him calling me a "bubble headed booby" but hearing Harris talk in
his native Bronx tongue was worth it. I still love him as Dr. Smith.

Yep, Harris wasn't gay like Dr. Smith! Fun Fact: He would only do the LIS movie if he were Smith, so they got Gary Oldman instead!
I only went to about 3 sci-fi conventions of the 80's and while it was great and fun it was a turnoff of seeing fans asking ridiculous questions. As for Jonathan Harris Dr. Smith was a role and many actors of that era didn't get residuals.
Since then I have looked into Harris's background. He was basically just another good actor
looking to get by when he discovered that filling the "effete/gay" character niche resulted
in a steady income stream, like Franklin Pangborn famously did in many 1930/1940's
movies(The Bank Dick etc). He created one of the greatest characters in TV history
in Doctor Smith.

If that was directed at me you'd be wrong. Harris jumped on me before I could finish my query
and both the audience and cast's reaction was he was wrong. I had a very nice back and
forth with Bill Mumy, at the end I asked him not to wish me into the cornfield at Harris's
behest which even Harris laughed at. I would note the camera didn't do Marta Kristen
- "Judy Robinson" - justice, she is one of the most regally beautiful women I have ever seen.

I remember at a sci-fi convention I saw the legendary Jane Wyatt and a fan actually asked her what is it like to have sex with a Vulcan. Ms. Wyatt handled the question with class but I saw some people can't distinguish fantasy from reality.
You got 9 out of 9 correct!
Were you straight shootin' on this quiz, or did some of questions knock you off your horse?

5/9 Billy Mumy was a better child star than Ronny Howard.
I always wondered why Ronny never did an episode of Matlock since Andy Griffith was an executive producer on the show and had several of his co-stars from The Andy Griffith Show on Matlock.
Ron basically retired from acting and became a director and co owner of Imagine. He only returned to Return To Mayberry out of favor for Andy Griffith.
5/9. Not too good on this one. I like how actors like Mumy will do shows like "Toon in with ME" and tell people about their early acting gigs.
