Are these lyrics from ''Old Town Road'' or a classic TV western theme song?

Can you tell the difference between Lil Nas X and 1950s TV?

"Old Town Road" in the biggest song in America right now. (Well, technically, the remix featuring Billy Ray Cyrus.) Undeniably, the Lil Nas X single the biggest hit of 2019, having reigned atop the charts for two solid months… so far.

And it's no wonder. "Old Town Road" blends the two biggest genres in American music — hip-hop and country — into a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup of pop. Plus, as classic TV Westerns proved, everybody loves a cool cowboy.

But how well do you know the lyrics? Could you, say, tell the difference between the No. 1 song of 2019 and lyrics from a half-century-old TV western? See if you can tell them apart!

10/12 I'm impressed considering I don't know the song nor the lyrics to 50's themes that well. A lot of it was intuition I suppose.

You got 12 out of 12
Well, what do you say, does the music of 2019 compare to the songs of the '50s and '60s?

10/12! Missed 6 and 7! Most were obvious, no old time western would use a phrase like 5, plus I do listen to opening themes!

9/12. Only missing 3, not bad for someone who has never heard of he song or the two singers.
Anybody else who took this quiz like me and has heard of neither the Lil Nas or Billy Ray Cyrus versions of this song? Heck, I haven't even heard of those two guys! Wait, I THINK I've heard of BRC.
Would that be from "Achy Breaky Heart" or "Hanna Montana"...LOL!!!
I only just heard of that song last night but didn't listen to it.
Billy Ray also had a pretty good run with "Doc" on PAX TV. It's where Miley Cyrus got her start in acting.
