To love what you do is a rare blessing. Having hobbies is one thing— but being so passionate about your work is quite another. It's considered an anomaly in the business world, but one that makes the quality of your work that much better.

For Vivian Vance, acting was exactly the sort of work that she found herself falling in love with.

"I've always enjoyed my work," Vance said during an interview with The Journal Gazette and Times-Courier. "It has always been so great to work with really big stars."

That doesn't mean it was all play all the time for Vance. Rather, she used each of her acting opportunities as an opportunity to grow.

"I've learned something from everyone with whom I've ever worked," she said.

While Vance had previously begun working in more serious roles, she revealed that she found comedy much more difficult to perform but well worth the extra effort.

"Now I know that comedy is much, much harder," she said. Besides, I'm geared to comedy. I happen to like to hear people laugh. It's good to hear people laugh."

While some live audiences tend to shock and frighten more seasoned performers, Vance had no issue with it. "All those years in television in front of an audience made me more comfortable," she said.

Vance was well known for acting alongside Lucille Ball in various shows, including I Love Lucy. Wherever Lucy was, Vance wasn't too far behind. "I've always loved working with Lucille," she said. "We have the same chemistry. We work very well together."
