Ron Howard's daughter said that she became her father's ''momager'' during his recent return to acting
"I was very nervous for him."

Our parents spent our entire childhood taking care of us. It's only natural that when we become adults, we may try to return the favor.
Ron Howard spent his entire childhood enjoying success that many adult actors could only dream of. As a kid, Howard appeared in The Andy Griffith Show as Opie Taylor, and later starred in the popular series Happy Days.
Howard later left acting, instead pursuing a similarly successful career as a director. However, he was by no means retired, appearing in cameos in certain television shows.

"He's done some stuff in Arrested Development, he's done some cameos here and there, but [this was] a real part, with, like, dialogue," said Howard during a panel, according to Entertainment Weekly. Dallas Howard actually accompanied her father to the set. "I was very nervous for him, so I went with him," said Howard. I was like a 'momager.'"
Of course, Bryce Dallas Howard had nothing to fear, noting that during rehearsal, her father's acting was "so on point everyone was sort of baffled by it, frankly."
Of course, Howard was playing a fictionalized version of himself, but he still demonstrated that he hadn't lost a step as an actor. Howard's daughter even joked with her father. "I guess you have learned a bit from Tom Hanks over the years," said Dallas Howard. "You were great before Tom Hanks, but he definitely rubbed off on you."
