Meet the latest faces to likely become Charlie's Angels
All three actresses have experience kicking serious butt.
When Charlie's Angels debuted in 1976, the original trio made heads whirl with their new spin on crime TV. Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith were some of the smoothest detectives we ever saw with feathered hair. Later, actresses like Cheryl Ladd, Shelley Hack and Tanya Roberts assumed roles as Angels to become instant icons.
So it should not surprise you in this time when reboots are the norm that Hollywood has come back to give Charlie's Angels another chance. After all, it worked in 2000 with Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz. The latest update of the show will be another movie, directed by actress/director Elizabeth Banks, and its stars are rumored to be some of the biggest female action stars of the 2000s: Lupita Nyong'o (Black Panther), Kristen Stewart (Twilight) and Naomi Scott (Power Rangers).
Meanwhile, the original Angels have made a return in printed form. Dynamite Comics launched a new Charlie's Angels comic book series based on the 1970s original last month.
