Really disappointed in the movie selections over the Halloween period. 2 Kolchak films in 2 weeks plus 2 episodes of the show? Rich Koz could at least get in the studio and do some new "bits" instead of just re running what he did the first time you played the movie.. and then introduce NEW characters on top of old bits just seems lazy!! GwenGoolie is awesome but her introduction was awful.

One error, Sven and Gwen did the song for Kolchak.. but can somebody teach Sven how to hold a Mic LOL

Hey Guy's, I'm with Rob! pretty much only "made for tv movies" over n' over for Halloween?!? SMFH
Also Did I miss something ?!? Sarah Palmer just came out of nowhere ..
No intro... no nothing ..If anyone knows I'd appreciate a "heads up"...;)

I think that we’ve all seen Trilogy of Terror enough already. Three showings in a six week time frame is ridiculous.

Back in the 60s on a Saturday night, Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein was scheduled on TV -- I had waited all week to see it -- and it was pre-empted for a Lakers game. I'll never forget being devastated!

I'd like to see more of Nostalgiaferatoo guy--he's so enthusiastic!

Wait! Next week is “Trilogy of Terror” and in two more weeks it’s on again?!?! There are so many other movies that should make the Halloween schedule like any of the Roger Corman films fer crying out loud!

Reporting from "Return of the Vampire."

Those convention attendance segments make me want to puke. It can be sad, those interviews with old people still living off some horror film from the eighties.

Svenghoolie is arguably the worst horror show host I have ever seen. Sven has no edge. No bite.

It remains my favorite METV show, but I said what was needed. I also dig Sventoonie, which really is a bit quirky.

Enjoy Svengoolie as well, however the "Spawn of Svengoolie Audition" cut ins they do
(occasionally) are the sad part and at a stretch laughable. The rest is just gimmicks and shtick, including the Sventoonie puppet. Suppose some would/could say the same on MST3K or any other horror series as well. Just opinion/taste at the end of the day.

Did you know Svengoolie has its own page and it uses the same commenting system as these threads, however it's under their blogs. There's a regular group of viewers that comment on w/e movie is running during the show/movie each Saturday night. Some of the comments that viewers share are funny/ some not. However they're just a group having fun.

" I also dig Sventoonie"

As you seem to dig "Sventoonie." Will you be watching or recording the 10 episode marathon of the famous Tuna Puppet scheduled for October 7-8 overnight. Not sure if Rich Koz ultimately sets the schedule for the October promo, but it was kind of him to bring back the character for a short while anyway. Ironically the last episode is called "𝐏𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝐎𝐟 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥."

What rubs me wrong is the thickness of the fawning admiration they show each other.

This would be better:

Sven: Who the hell are you?
Never was: I was camper #7 in the first Friday the 13th film.
Sven: I see. Nobody.
Never was: And who the hell are you?
Sven: Beats me.

Hello, everyone! Does everyone here already know each other? I love the creative themed dinner!

We used to post dinner and snacks we were preparing and eating during Svengoolie. Idk what happened to it. It needs a comeback

Return of the Vampire tonight (9/23) would have been better than Killer Klowns From Outer Space during October for Svengoolie! There’s so MANY amazing BW horror films between the 1930s-1960s that would have fit the scary bill—and Bela Lugosi stars in several.
Is anyone missing Sventoonie as much as me? I was hesitant at first, but I have Bill & Toonie on in the morning when I’m getting ready. I’m also a Mystery Science Theater fan for years and what Sventoonie did was mix the best antics of MST with his silly cartoon quips and it was hilarious! I laughed harder on the Saturday nights that he was on than anything Sven was doing. I’m not too fond of the extended Sven because too often 75 min movies are stretched out to accommodate 2-1/2 hrs…not a fan.
StrayCat BlitzMe 7 months ago
Return of the vampire has a runtime of only 69 minutes. I'm wondering if we'll miss the movie with Sven having to fill the other 81 minutes with near endless commercials along with his antics. I think ME TV should consider adding some 40's era serials of Batman/Superman, Flash Gordon, etc. to fill out the time for these rather short movies.
ThedaBird BlitzMe 7 months ago
I was surprised to see something so contemporary (Killer Klowns) - that's the 80s, right?
BlitzMe ThedaBird 7 months ago
Yes, about 1988. It’s not Halloweeny…it’s just stupid & gross.
StrayCat BlitzMe 7 months ago
I agree about killer clowns from outer space being stupid. Besides, if you really want a killer clown, there's always Captain Spaulding
Rob StrayCat 7 months ago
Yes, I like that idea.

Don't forget The Time Tunnel and Lost in Space have some spooky episodes. I don't remember the name of the Episode on Time Tunnel, but you showed it last year. Lost in Space had an episode about Dr. Smith's Uncle Thaddius. I don't know if that is the name of the episode.
