Frank and Marie's kitchen in Everybody Loves Raymond was borrowed from the set of All in the Family
It turns out that Frank and Archie shared a fridge!
If you’ve been a television junkie for a few decades, you’re more than likely to have seen the same sets in different television shows. Though plenty of television shows come and go, the sets built for episodes are frequently used and reused in later television shows. This is especially true if the set is a common location seen in sitcoms, like a living room or a restaurant.
During an interview with the Los Angeles Daily News, actor Doris Roberts was able to share a bit of behind-the-scenes television trivia. Roberts, of course, starred as Marie Barone in the popular sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond. Originally, the series ran from 1996 until 2005, with plenty of episodes taking place in the Barone household.
Roberts revealed that the set used as Marie and Frank’s kitchen was actually the same one used in the popular Norman Lear sitcom, All in the Family.

*available in most MeTV markets“Marie lives in a house that’s got an early-’40s kitchen,” said the actor. “Actually, it’s the original kitchen from All in the Family, and she’s got the sofa covered in plastic to protect it because her husband Frank wouldn’t give her the money to change it.”
Roberts acknowledged that although she played Marie, the two women did not share the same tastes in home decoration. “I like softness and light colors that make you feel good,” said the actor.
