Farrah Fawcett said that it was ''love at first sight'' when she first met husband Lee Majors
The two were married in 1973.
It can be difficult to imagine a person who didn’t fall in love with Farrah Fawcett at first sight. Widely regarded as the woman of the 1970s, Fawcett took television by storm, appearing in programs like Harry O and The Six Million Dollar Man.
Later, Fawcett would star in the popular crime series, Charlie’s Angels, as Jill Monroe. Though Fawcett left the show at the end of the first season, she is still widely regarded as one of the more iconic actors of the series.
Just as viewers everywhere fell in love with Fawcett, so too did her future husband, Lee Majors. “It was love at first sight, I guess,” Fawcett said during an interview with the Daily News. The actor revealed that Majors pursued her, and they had their first date at a discotheque. “We got in the car, and there was complete silence for about ten minutes,” said the actor. After that, the two entered into a steadfast relationship. They were married in 1973.
Not only did Majors and Fawcett appear together on television programs like The Six Million Dollar Man, but Fawcett also revealed that when alone, the two watched each other’s projects.
“We watch his [projects] more,” said the actor during an interview with the San Antonio Express-News. “He kind of falls asleep in mine. But I love his show. I never really think he’s bad. I’m still a lot of notches behind him as an actress.”
