Who is Weird Al parodying?

That guy's always up to somethin' goofy!

 Everett Collection

It's a tale as old as time... A popstar puts their life into crafting the perfect radio-friendly gem, only to have some wacky guy named Al lampoon the ever-lovin' daylights out of it.

If you're not familiar with "Weird" Al Yankovic, we have some interior design recommendations for the rock you live under. Seriously, the guy has been a ubiquitous pop culture mainstay for decades. How do you not know who "Weird" Al is?

Ok, but if you don't know who "Weird" Al is, then let this quiz be a friendly introduction (and ignore us making fun of you to your face)! He's the king of the parody, and this quiz might just turn you into a fan. Plus, you can probably guess because the song titles are close to the originals!

We'll present you with the title of a "Weird' Al Yankovic song, and you tell us which musical act he's parodying! Simple, right? Good luck, and be sure to share your score in the comments section below!

13/13. That was an easy one. Weird Al has been a mainstay since I was a kid. I remember Eat It coming out and I was sold.

You got 9 out of 13. Nothing weird about that score! Ouch!

I would like to nitpick with #11. Though Tiffany did record "I Think We're Alone Now," it was originally recorded by Tommy James and the Shandells (I'm not even sure if I'm spelling that right)

Stive Ray Vaughn should be Stevie. I did not do as well as I thought I would. Still funny.

Just curious why they didn't feature "Eat It"
A classic "Weird Al" parody.

Maybe. However there were many other recognizable songs as well.

Or Fat...I mean, if there's any song you wouldn't immediately pair with the original...

Come one come all to the MeTv Friday Night Movie Quiz. See you @ https://www.metv.com/quiz/richard-boone-or-david-janssen
Where everyone can take a guess or make comments to other quizzers.
There will be extra bonus movies for just coming by. Including entertainment for all. Feel free to ask questions, copy movie links and just plain join in the fun via communication. The MQ will be up until the movie is guessed and an hour to look over and pick out what you wish. Have fun doing so. There are no wrong answers but the first one to guess the correct movie gets their names put up for getting it correctly.
Good luck and enjoy and check out the early Bird vids for quizzers

Two of the movies we are showing tonight--Jaws and The Maltese Falcon

Easy.
The only one I had to think a second about was Lasagna. I had never heard that one, but I guessed it right.

Took me a minute, too.
The embarrassing one for me was Perform This Way. I knew it was Lady Gaga's Born This Way and I couldn't figure out why her name wasn't on the list. "WHY CAN'T I FIND HER NAME!?!"
gee...maybe because it was the very first choice and I scrolled past it two or three times...?

Missed one because I scrolled too far, it was number 11, I knew the answer because I made a handful of those jackets she would wear.
