Were these actors seen on My Three Sons?
Many stars found themselves in the Douglas universe.
After 12 seasons of seeing the Douglas family on our television screens, My Three Sons ended. We saw from the beginning how a widower, Steve Douglas, went through life with his three sons and their interactions with people here and there.
Some talented actors appeared in the series, and we want to see if you know who they were. Let's see if you can choose the right actor. Good luck!

And likely never will be:
As on most all shows with the "exception of a few", there will probably never be a explanation for supporting or recurring characters non-returns outside of the episodes they were cast for.

I don't remember having a convo about that. I am a fan of some British Humor (Movies/Shows) even some Non-humor (Ex: Dr. Who and a few others). But TY for the link though.

I watch the show every morning at 11:30 am and I look forward to it every day. There were other famous actors that appeared on the show in brief roles that went on to become stars later in their careers. These included Beau Bridges, Ryan O'Neal, Martin Sheen, Marta Kristen ("Lost In Space"), Jodie Foster, Jay North, Erin Moran ("Happy Days"), and even a great cameo from James Stewart!
How did I miss Jimmy Stewart! Could you PLEASE tell me about the episode he was in?
Is he seen in the rerun package or do you have to buy uncut episodes on DVD?
If it was a quick cameo, maybe some idiot editor cut that scene out for commercials.

Jimmy Stewart was in one of the black and white episodes called "Robbie Wins His Letter". Robbie wins an award for getting high marks in his science class and, much to his classmates' surprise, Jimmy Stewart is selected to present it to him. It isn't just a cameo appearance. He's on camera for almost 5 minutes. Here is the scene as seen on YouTube:
