He was on other shows, such as The Virginian, The Big Valley, and of course, Boston Legal, and others. In one classic Boston Legal episode, they showed clips of a very young Shatner with Ralph Bellamy, as lawyers from a 1950s show.
That show you "mentioned" was called THE DEFENDERS. It ran on CBS for 4 seasons {1961-1965.} 2 years before he would construct his "office" {courthouses other buildings, etc}. and wound up in the same line of business as Wilbur Post; Robert Reed was also on this show.
Clarrification: The Defenders starred Reed and E.G. Marshall as father and son. Shatner played Reed's role in the pilot 4 years earlier, and that clip was used as Denny Crane's first case. Fun Fact: the 1957 client was Steve McQueen pre-WDOA!

12/12 and of course comments! Shatner did 2 TZs, you forgot the devil fortunes! The entire cast did STTAS, why WOULDN'T Shatner? Shatner was in ST:Generations with Picard, and he's great in A2:TS! Finally, while Shatner didn't do The Simpsons, he joined his crew on Futurama!

Correction on 77SS: 2 stars who did NOT appear in the promo but are still alive: Diane McBain [best known to MeTV'ers for working with Batman's Mad Hatter] and Tony Bennett [not an actor but he did appear]. Fun Fact: The episodes were directed by William Conrad [Cannon! Shatner yes or no?]
cperrynaples cperrynaples 49 months ago
Answer: No Cannon, but I'm considering a Shatner sequel! You'd be surprised how many shows there are!

Answer to my question was For The People, ironically the name of a current unrelated series!
