LOVE THE SHOW SO MUCH I HAD TO BUY THE BOX SET. HOPE METV DOESNT EVER TAKE THE MOST BELOVED AMERICAN SHOW EVER ON TV. SO MUCH CAN BE LEARNED FROM THE SHOW, MORALS AND VALUES. NONE CAN MATCH THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW...MAJOR LIFETIME FAN.

Lola, you're absolutely right about that lodge question. It's incorrectly written any way you look at it. To my knowledge, it was never stated (in either the black-and-white or color episodes) that Andy and Barney actually joined any lodge together...including The Esquire Club; and the Esquire Club was definitely not in Mayberry. Bad question. When I read that one, I thought, "What a DUMB trick!" (I noticed on Google that there's a book about Freemasonry that states that Andy and Barney were members of the Golden Door. Maybe that's where that falsehood got started.)

19 outta 25, ok, should do better. I will study harder next time. Andy Griffith is one of TV’s golden agers. His weekly salvaging of Barney’s bumbling boobles is legendary. Sorry he terminated the show; I believe he and Don Knotts could have run that series out to the end of their lives. They were an inseparable pair, like Currier & Ives, Stengel and Berra, Rogers & Hart or Perry & Della.

I remember the episode where Howard got blackballed from the Regal Order of the Golden Door to Good Fellowship; it was a color episode and Barney had already left Mayberry, so I didn’t choose that answer because the question stated Andy and Barney both. I did pick the Esquire Club even though I knew it wasn’t located in Mayberry. Hmmm 🤔

It is a nice easy show with a happy ending each episode. Good place for the mind to settle down each day. Nothing too heavy..
