Is this a '70s TV show… or the movie it was based on?
Can you tell the difference between MASH and M*A*S*H? Beyond the asterisks.
A TV show based on a movie is not inherently a bad thing. Some of the greatest TV shows of all time — Wagon Train, M*A*S*H, The Odd Couple — were adapted from successful films. Of course, some of the shows fail to live up to the original.
We gathered some memorable television series from the Seventies that were inspired or remade from movies. You probably recognize famous faces in all the scenes.
But can you tell if this is the TV show — or the movie that inspired it?

I am surprised they took a chance to make the TV show "Alice" based on the movie "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore". The movie s-u-c-k-e-d. Have you ever tried to stay awake during that thing??
The last one was the easiest because that's Diane Ladd playing Flo, not Polly Holliday, and Ellen Burnstyn as Alice in the background.
