Droopy debuted as part of The Tom and Jerry Comedy Hour; however, Avery et al. quickly established Droopy as a character of his own merit, not dependent upon his better-established co-stars. Unlike other cartoons, Droopy was a clear, definable character from the get-go, with a memorable set of characteristics and an unforgettable voice.

Oh now I remember that part! I got that one wrong but now I recall how that scene went!
Yes, it ended with the dynamite exploding in Spike's face and well, that smoke always turns into blackface!
