Camp Henderson is said to be in California, but Andy offered to drive Gomer down because he had business in Wilmington.
any chance it's a 'Chuck Cunningham' Situation where it was in the Carolinas (and driving Distance from Mayberry.) in the first season(s) but they 'moved it' after they outgrew the parent show and didn't want/need as many cross overs?
