$50 in 1970 was equivalent to $190.98, so a $50 jacket still "cost more" than a jacket for $150 in 1994 in terms of actual spending power.
Nine out of 11. But is this really true? I mean, there's inflation, and the value of a dollar back in 1974 isn't the same as a dollar in those later years.
