Can you tell the difference between Jed Clampett and Barnaby Jones?

How well do you know Buddy Ebsen's iconic characters?

True television icons have two or more characters to their name. Andy Griffith was Sheriff Taylor and Matlock. William Shatner was Captain Kirk and T.J. Hooker. Mary Tyler Moore was Laura Petrie and Mary Richards.

And Buddy Ebsen, of course, was Jed Clampett and Barnaby Jones. The Beverly Hillbillies was one of the biggest — if not the biggest — sitcoms of the '60s. Barnaby Jones was one of the longest-running detective series of the '70s.

Showing Ebsen's range, they were two wildly different characters. So — think you can tell them apart?

11/14 The word "Conman" threw me off on #7, but then now I remember that character's name who was played by Phil Silvers, #13 threw me off because Nixon was no longer president by the time Barnaby Jones first aired.

For what it's worth on #13--Buddy Ebsen, I believe, attended Richard Nixon's funeral.

12 out of 14 not bad! I love watching this show. Especially when JR comes along. I don’t like how it’s on at 4am but I can’t help but watch most days. It has only been about a year or so since I first heard of it. My dad was a huge Beverly Hillbillies fan! I never even got the chance to ask him if he liked him as Barnaby, but I’m guessing maybe not or I would have heard of it growing up, right? Haha

Only missed one--I assumed President Nixon would have been more familiar with Jed than Barnaby, although I don't know why. Never heard of Miss Myrtle, either.
