But can you tell these Christmas jams apart, when we've stripped away the catchiest parts?

That's the game we're playing today. See how many of the season's bestselling singles you can hit in a row!
  1. “Next year all our troubles / Will be out of sight.”
  2. “And so I'm offering this simple phrase / To kids from one to ninety-two.”
  3. “He's got a bag that's filled with toys for boys and girls again."
  4. “Snowflakes in the air / Carols everywhere / Olden times and ancient rhymes / Of love and dreams to share”
  5. “I won't even stay awake to / Hear those magic reindeer click.”
  6. “And then away went Rudolph a whizzing like a shooting star.”
  7. “Now, I know what a fool I've been / But if you kissed me now / I know you'd fool me again.”
  8. “They're singing 'Deck The Halls' / But it's not like Christmas at all.”
  9. “Outside the snow is falling and friends are calling 'yoo hoo!'”

Dang. No "Father Christmas" by The Kinks. No "Fairytale of New York" by The Pogues. Where are the Christmas classics?
Yeah! Like I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, All I want for Christmas, Is My Two Front Teeth, Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer, Santa Baby, {Sung only by the original chanteuse: Eartha Kitt, all others need not apply. Her version is the only version I'm interested in hearing.} etc.
I agree about Santa Baby.
