Who knows more about romance than The Fonz?

It's not every day that you get love advice from The Fonz himself, but then again, Bryce Dallas Howard isn't just anybody. In addition to being an actor and director, Dallas Howard is also the daughter of popular director Ron Howard. Though today he's known for his work directing films like Parenthood and Cocoon, Howard previously starred in television shows like The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days as a young man.

During his time on the series, Howard became especially close with co-star Henry Winkler, and later named Winkler godfather to his daughter, Bryce.

Bryce Dallas Howard spoke about her godfather during the podcast "What in the Winkler?!"

"Henry and Stacey have always been the most incredible godparents, very supportive," said Howard. As a child, Howard frequently stayed with the Winkler family, and as she got older, she often turned to her godfather for advice. Winkler recalled counseling Howard when she met her future husband in college for the first time.

"I took her to lunch in 2000, and you were in school with Seth," said Winkler to Howard, referring to Seth Gabel. "You said, 'I know this guy and I don't know how to get him to pay attention to me. How do I get him to pay attention to me?'"

Of course, Winkler's advice was sweet and simple. "I said, 'Bryce, all you have to do is breathe,'" said the actor. "You're beautiful, you're talented, you're strong."

Obviously, the advice worked incredibly well, considering Howard and Gabel began dating and married in 2006. Let this be a lesson to all: When The Fonz offers you some advice, take it!
