Brady Bunch co-stars Eve Plumb and Christopher Knight went on one date after The Brady Bunch ended
Love was in the air on the set of the sitcom!
Off-screen romances on television are pretty normal, but it seems like for The Brady Bunch, falling for your co-star was somehow inevitable. Previously, cast member Barry Williams revealed that he enjoyed a short-lived romance with his on-screen mother, Florence Henderson. During Williams’ memoir, Growing Up Brady: I Was a Teenage Greg, the actor explained that he developed a crush on Henderson while working together.
“Florence never wavered in her friendship, and I did what any young guy might: I got a case of the hots for my ‘mom.’” The two went on approximately one date before deciding to remain friends.
Williams and co-star Maureen McCormick also enjoyed a steady off-screen mutual attraction when the two weren’t playing siblings on the popular sitcom.
Susan Olsen and Mike Lookinland also held a wedding “ceremony” during which the two were married as little tykes on the set of The Brady Bunch.
Recently, Eve Plumb, better known as Jan Brady, revealed that she had a very brief romance with her on-screen brother, played by Christopher Knight. Plumb spoke to Page Six, where she admitted that the two went on a date. “It was sweet,” said the actor.
However, it ultimately seemed as though the two were better suited as buds.
“It was fun, but we were really already by that time just too good friends to make that transition into being romantic partners,” said Plumb. “Any attempts at making out that evening ended with laughter and resignation that we’d always be sister and brother, even in real life.”
