Only a legit fan of ‘70s pop culture can translate these forgotten words

Will strange terms from the Seventies pop lexicon stump you?

The Seventies had its own vibe, and with it, its own set of words and phrases that today sound like a foreign language to unfamiliar ears.

See if you're always right on when it comes to recalling all these unreal phrases.
  1. What did "Gremlin" refer to in the 1970s?
  2. What was "The Green Machine"?
  3. Now, pick out the "Hot Pants":
  4. What was a "Whatchamacallit"?
  5. Who played "Latka" on TV?
  6. What was "Sha Na Na"?
  7. Pick out the "Shrinky Dinks":
  8. What did you do with "Koogle"?
  9. What was a "Jabberjaw"?
  10. Last question: Show your true '70s stripes and pick out the Chevron Stripes.

I managed to get them all, though I can't recall what Google actually was. Whatchamacallit is still made, though I don't know how easy it is to find.

The only one I missed was the Green Machine question. Although I was a kid in the 70's, I was too old for tricycles. Which is probably why I got that question wrong. I'd forgotten about that product.

Nine out of ten. No clue what "Koogle" was, and I was alive in the 70s.

I believe it was peanut butter and jelly in the same jar (you could see vertical stripes of each through the glass).

That was Goober or something like that. Koogle was a flavored spread with a peanut butter base. They had chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla. The chocolate was the best to me.

8/10 I was born in the 70's. Some of these were easy. I didn't know what the Koogle was and I didn't know what the green machine was. I thought it was a salad machine lol.

9/10, got the first one wrong, technically it was a movie and a car, but the movie came out after the 70's. Oh well! 💁‍♀️

8/10 Missed the Shrinky Dinks and Koogle. Never heard of Koogle The name was probably enough to turn me off of it as a kid. I don't think I ever did a Shrinky Dink. My mom wasn't hip on pre-fab craft kits,/ projects like that. We sewed, made pottery, painted in oil or watercolor, made seed jewelry, macrame, tie-dye, rug hooking, all that awesome Dr. Hippie sunshine and tree-huggin' hippie sh*t. And she was still going to med school. My Momma was the coolest mom in the neighborhood. 💜☮️💜

I would have gotten a perfect 10, only the page jumped (to put in an ad) when I was selecting the answer. I hate when that happens.
