Only a Jimi Hendrix super-fan can I.D. these songs by only the first line

Can you hear these tunes in your head?

A master guitar player and insightful songwriter, Jimi Hendrix made music history with his powerful riffs and gruff, captivating voice.

Between his unique playing techniques and his flair for showmanship, it's no wonder that Hendrix has been revered as one of rock's greatest musicians. He rocked the late '60s with his unique sound and his passion for making music a religious experience for anyone who listened.

While there are certainly a number of songs that come to mind when his name is brought up, we're putting your memory to the test to see if you can remember these songs titles based on the first line of their lyrics. Singing out loud is encouraged to jog your memory. Good luck!

  1. "Hey Joe, where you goin' with that gun in your hand?"
  2. "There must be some kind of way outta here..."
  3. "You know you're a cute little heartbreaker, ha..."
  4. "Anger he smiles towering in shiny metallic purple armor..."
  5. "Well she's walking through the clouds..."
  6. "After all jacks are in their boxes..."
  7. "Well, I stand up next to a mountain..."
  8. "Well, I wait around the train station..."
  9. "Purple haze all in my brain..."
  10. "If the sun refuse to shine..."

Right on! You're a Hendrix fan, through and through.

Man that was easy. James Marshal Hendrix gave the world the original Seattle Sound. Jimi was The Master. Copied but NEVER equalled.

9/10! Missed 5, but this was an easy quiz.First of all even if you never heard a Hendrix song, no one could miss 1 because the first 2 words were the title [DUH!!]! Secondly, notice that most of the wrong answers are repeated. Finally, what person of our generation isn't "experienced"? Technically, 2 is a Dylan song and how many of us thought Jimi was coming out in 9? " "scuse me while I kiss this guy"...LOL!!!

Not me.But I could see it.I once knew a guy that thought in the song" The night Chicago died",it was,get ready for it...🎶 "The night she coughed and cried"🎶

You think that's crazy? I remember someone thought Taking Care Of Business was Baking Carrot Biskets! Trust me, anyone who remembers BTO can tell they weren't vegans...LOL!!!

With them being from Loser-peg, Manitoba vegetarianism was Very unlikely.
I once had a book that was called Misheard Lyrics, that was a very funny book.

Don't forget He's Got The Whole World In His Pants and Deck The Halls With Buddy Holly (that one's all Christmas songs). There's a fourth book as well, but I can't remember the name of it.

Only a Hendrix fan knows if "All Along the Watchtower is the only answer listed it must be the answer.

Oh, and only a Hendrix fan would know it's "Foxey Lady."

I have a teensy-weensy confession to make. I cheated just a little bit. I 'GOOGLED' the lyrics from each question on 'GOOGLE CHROME', and it gave the answers to them, except for question #7. I already knew the answer to it because I recognized the lyric right away.

Right on! You're a Hendrix fan, through and through. Damn right I'm a fan. Everyone should be a fan of the Master. In exactly 1 year from today on September 18, 2020, James Marhall "Jimi" Hendrix will have been dead for 50 years. His influence on guitarists and musicians in General cannot be stressed enough.

Next year will also be the 50th anniversary of the deaths of Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison.
Jim Morrison died July 3, 1971
