Did these shows end before or after the M*A*S*H finale?
Which finales had to follow the most watched television episode of all time?
Over eleven seasons, M*A*S*H evolved from a workplace sitcom set against the backdrop of war to a cerebral, sometimes surreal, take on how humans can make the best of tragic circumstances. The show used both jokes and heart to keep people watching — and it worked!
The very last episode of the series is still the most-watched TV episode in history and is better compared to huge events like Super Bowls. Decades after "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen" aired in 1983, it’s still remembered as one of the best endings ever to grace the small screen.

Got 9/12 not bad since I didn’t watch many of the other sitcoms. For me it was Little House on the Prairie, M*A*S*H, and Donny & Marie.
Ace it, 12/12. Again...my excellent memory for dates and years comes thru. I watched the MASH finale like everyone else but I gave up on MASH as a sitcom after the 7th or 8th season. It got too preachy, moralistic, and it wasn't a sitcom anymore. And it got to be a weekly competition between Hawkeye & BJ for laughs. The slapstick from the early years of Trapper, Frank Burns and Henry Blake were my favorite years.
