Did these cartoon characters have a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon in the 1960s?

Was that Snoopy or Bamm-Bamm passing by? You tell us!

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is a hallmark of Thanksgiving tradition. Starting in 1924, the parade is presented by the department store every year. The biggest event in the day is the grand finale — the arrival of Santa Claus on his sleigh!

The second most anticipated spectacle is, of course, the balloons, each one as large as a building, harnessed to dozens of volunteers. Everyone has a floating friend or two that they look for each year, and every year audiences anticipate which new additions are added to the lineup.

Many cartoon and novelty characters have come and gone over the years: Fred Flinstone, Betty Boop and Yogi Bear are just a few of the many animated celebrities to come and go.

We're putting your holiday memory to the test. See if you can recall if these popular cartoon characters had a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade during the Sixties. Good luck!

10/15; lots of guesswork - I have never been much of a fan of TV parades.

I don't like giant balloons..........they freak me out. Giant Mardi Gras heads are scary as all heck, too!

12/15 not bad for someone who hasn't seen more than 10 mins of the parade in ages...

You know MeTV, it would be nice if you could get and air the 1960's Superman cartoon series, as well as the 1950's ''Adventures of Superman'' starring George Reeves, on Super SciFi Saturday Night, instead of Wonder Woman and Sven Goolie. Thank You.

Well they'll never get rid of Sven. And that's okay considering his massive fans! But they could rotate in Superman, would be fun. And find a place for another cartoon!

By the way, whatever happened to Batman!
