Can you tell if these 1979 TV flops were sitcoms or dramas?

Try to guess from the title and promo photo!

Can you judge a book by its cover? How about a TV show by its title and promotional photo?

The following 14 shows all began in 1979 — and lived a rather short life. You probably recognize some of the stars, famous faces from M*A*S*H and The Andy Griffith Show included!

Some of them were silly; some of them were serious. Can you tell — or remember — the difference? Look at the picture and name and make your best guess!

I didn't recognize some programs, but I would have liked to see an episode of Detective School based on the picture - would love to see how Johnny Gage (Randolph Mantooth) from Emergency would have done in a sitcom.

Put on a happy face! You have the eye of a TV executive!

I loved John Schuck... Except for Holmes and Yo-Yo.

9/14, in my defense I grew up in the 1980s.

13/14 Missed "The Associates."
Funny thing: the only one of those shows I ever saw was The TV movie of "Salvage 1."

I think my family might have been the only people who watched "Detective School" from first to last episode.

I got 11 out of 14. I remember hello Larry and 240 Robert, but the others I can't remember at all. Some of the dramas looked and sounded like a comedy show.

12 /14 missed 8 and 10.I didn't know Sheriff Taylor became a spaceman.😋Put Don Knotts in the other spacesuit and make it a comedy and you probably got a hit on your hands.I think DN was busy being Mr Furley at the time though. No Barney Fife, but still a pretty funny character.
