  12. When mystery writer Jessica Fletcher shows up to assist on a case, Thomas Magnum's pride is threatened almost as much as the targets of the episode's hitman. What is the name of this 'Murder, She Wrote' and 'Magnum, P.I.' crossover?
  13. In 'Mad About You,' Paul Reiser has his character recruit a TV legend to narrate a documentary he's making on the history of TV. Plot twist – it's a 30-year-delayed crossover moment from 'The Dick Van Dyke Show'! Which character is recruited for this special 'Mad About You' episode?

While it's not something METV would or should show, the funniest mash-up ever was The Simpsons/Family Guy. "Hey! No fair! I don't got nunna does!"
Tim Fred_Clampett 24 months ago
really? I thought it was low point for both series. An hour of no laughs.

Great bit on "The Nanny", where Fran's grandmother gets a little confused about the line between real life and TV reruns. She insists that something she saw on the Dick Van Dyke really happens, and tries to prove it by dragging Brighton in front of her and saying "See, there's Richie!"

Then she points at the mirror in the hallway and adds "...and there's Millie!"

(Best one, though, involved a feature film remake of a classic TV show, "The Beverly Hillbillies" with Jim Varney as Jed Clampett, Dabney Coleman as Mr Drysdale, and Lily Tomlin as Miss Jane. At one point, the characters decide they need to hire a private eye, and who should they choose but Barnaby Jones!)

Yes, Ann Morgan Gilbert WAS Laura's BFF on DVD! And Yes, Buddy Ebsen WAS Barnaby in his last movie role!

There's also a real crossover on The Nanny when Ray Barone from Everybody Loves Raymond is revealed as Fran's high school classmate.
Tim Tim 24 months ago
A double crossover: Fran and Ray were classmates in real life.
