Are these real fast food gimmicks or did we make them up?
Have you ever had a McSpaghetti?

There are few things a fast food business won't do to take your money. That being said, some fast food gimmicks are more successful than others. We've collected a few very real gimmicks that fast food giants have tried in the past few years (along with a couple of very big fibs). You've got to tell us whether that gimmick is real or not!
-
Beginning in the 1970s, McDonalds released a new item called the McSpaghetti. It came with noodles, sauce, and cheese. While it has since been discontinued in many locations, you can still find the McSpaghetti in a select few McDonalds locations.
-
Though all locations are closed today, Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour was once a very popular location to get a sweet treat. Their menu included something called "The Zoo," a large collection of ice cream that was carried out to the table on a stretcher by employees as ambulance noises played.
-
In the 1980s, Wendy's offered The BaTaco. It was a taco with meat, cheese, bacon and tater tots. The outer taco shell was wrapped in bacon.
-
In the 1960s, McDonald's released something called the Hula Burger. It contained a slice of grilled pineaple with cheese.
-
In the 1970s, White Castle released its Big Castle Burger. While the item has since been discontinued, this burger contained triple the amount of meat and cheese in a regular cheeseburger. White Castle ads claimed the burger towered over half a foot high.
-
Beginning in the 1980s, McDonalds released the McDLT. The burger's meat, cheese and bun were in one Styrofoam container, while the lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes were in another.
-
In 1987, KFC released something called the "Lil Chompers Menu." Functioning as a children's menu, this gimmick was fairly normal, except for something called a Lil Sip. Children who ordered the Lil Sip would receive a children's size soda with a small toy at the bottom of the cup to enjoy after drinking.
-
In 2016, Burger King released the Whopperito, which was a Whopper inside of a tortilla with queso sauce.
-
In the 1990s, McDonalds released a collaboration meal with the hit grunge band, Nirvana. The meal included a Big Mac, along with two extra fries.
-
In 2012, Dunkin Donuts began selling fettucine alfredo.

Is anyone else here old enough to remember when, for a small extra charge, you could get a raw egg blended into an Orange Julius? Made the foam thicker and last longer.
Slight correction on the McDLT. The cheese was inexplicably on the cold side with the lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
8/10. All lucky guesses, except the McDLT, because I have several McDLT commercials in my commercial collection (yes, I collect 80's commercials).
5/10 The Petri dish chicken nuggets McDonald’s sell don’t look anything like meat inside. My 2 Yorkies will not eat a plain cheeseburger from BK or McDonald’s, so that’s why I don’t eat fast food.
