7/10...it's nice to actually know who these artists are (and were). Very little guessing here. Most of these are from when music was actually music and there was lots of talent.
You got 5 out of 10
Sorry, but you're going home empty handed!
That's fine with me because The Granny Awards has rarely agreed with my tastes in music. I have the taste and they DO NOT.

8/10. I didn't know Robert Goulet or the Beatles won Best New Artist - that award is usually the kiss of death.
4/10 Probably the worst quiz I've ever done. But judging by the scores of others, I can see I wasn't alone.
Bonus Question: Elvis Costello & The Cars were up for the award in 1979, but who actually won it? Hint: this act's biggest song was disco!
That's whom I was going to say Gloria Gaynor. Just going to guess it might be R&B band Chic with Good Times?
No one will get it. so here's the answer: A Taste Of Honey! Picture Dawn without Tony Orlando and you'll get an idea! Their one hit was Boogie Oogie Oogie [yes, that's REAL!]
Donna Summer didn't write "Last Dance" so she didn't win the Oscar. The songwriter, Paul Jabara, is the one who took home the award. And A Taste of Honey had another hit, "Sukiyaki" in 1981. It was a #1 R&B hit, and top 3 Pop hit. But they'll forever be "known" for "Boogie Oogie Oogie" (great bassline).
