Meet Scott Ibarra: Inside the Collection
He's turned some of pop culture’s most iconic props into prized possessions!

Scott is a jack of two trades — he is the owner of Sports Junkies, buying and selling Chicago-related sports memorabilia, as well as Autograph Junkies, where he collects and deals in movie props and costumes, many of them autographed.
For Scott, this pop culture collection is more than just a hobby... it’s a way of keeping his childhood alive. Growing up in the 1970s, Scott was inspired by movies like Star Wars, and his collection now brings some of those childhood memories back to life.
His passion for autographs eventually led him to become a dealer himself, working directly with collectors and celebrities to buy, sell and trade pieces of pop culture history. Take a look!
1. Signed Rocky Movie Memorabilia
This piece packs a punch! It's a screen-used prop from the Rocky series, coming from the sixth movie, which was the last film in which he actually fought.
This ring post was the one most visibly seen during the fighting scene. Scott also has a replica belt and shorts to go along with it — a real knockout trio of Rocky memorabilia!
The ring post and shorts both feature Sylvester Stallone’s full autograph. The ring post was already signed when Scott acquired it at auction, with Stallone adding the line, "Last Fight!"
According to our expert, this would be worth around $12,000 for all three pieces.
2. Signed Wolverine Claws
This is a Hugh Jackman-autographed X-Men prop that comes in two parts, with removable claws so you can recreate the full famous Wolverine pose.
It’s a piece any Marvel fan would dream of owning — and one that really lets you get your claws into the collection.
The prop is a standout piece of X-Men memorabilia, combining a screen-inspired design with Jackman’s signature.
According to our expert, a similar prop has previously sold for $1,300, so he valued this one at $1,350.
3. Infinity Gauntlet
Another item Marvel fans will recognize! This is the Thanos Infinity Gauntlet from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It also happens to be one of Scott’s favorite pieces in his collection. It’s a Black Series Infinity Gauntlet signed by Robert Downey Jr. The Black Series is a line of replicas designed to closely resemble the original props used in the films, giving fans a chance to own a piece that looks as close to the real thing as possible.
According to Scott, the best place to find one is through Disney — that’s a pro tip! This piece features Downey Jr.’s full signature, unlike some of his other autographs, which are simply his initials. It also includes the inscription, “I am Iron Man.”
According to our expert, this piece would be worth around $2,000 today.
4. Boba Fett Blaster & Helmet
This is a Black Series helmet from the Boba Fett series, signed by Temuera Morrison. The blaster is signed by Jeremy Bulloch, who played the original Boba Fett.
For Scott, Star Wars takes him back to his childhood, and this special pair is a reminder of why the galaxy far, far away has remained so meaningful to him. The blaster is a toy, while the helmet is a replica prop, with the autographs adding even more value to the pieces — especially for a franchise that remains forever popular.
According to our expert, the two pieces together would be worth around $1,000. For a Star Wars collector, these pieces are definitely out of this world.
5. Signed Heat Movie Poster
This is an autographed miniature Heat poster, one of Scott’s favorite movies of all time and one of his favorite Val Kilmer films.
This is Scott’s second Heat piece — or, as Lisa Whelchel called it, a “reheat.” He acquired this piece through an auction after he never got his first poster back after sending it off to be signed.
According to our expert, this piece would be worth around $2,000.
6. Top Gun Autographs
Scott loves having these two pieces on display because they look great, but they also hold value. He matches the value of each piece with how he displays it — a sign of a true collector.
According to Scott, Tom Cruise signed the notecard, which features a large autograph and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The other piece originally featured four autographs, but Scott added Kelly McGillis and Michael Ironside.
Together, the pieces feature signatures from much of the Top Gun cast, including some actors who are no longer with us. That makes this one of Scott’s favorite pieces and a top poster for any Top Gun fan.
According to our expert, the two pieces would be worth $2,500 together.
