1. Universal Monster Toys

These classic monsters come from Imperial’s Universal Monster figures, released in 1986. Daniel has all four figures: the Wolf Man, Dracula, the Mummy and Frankenstein!

Some of Daniel’s earliest toys, these figures date back to when he was just 6 or 7 years old. They’re still in great condition today, proving that even monsters can stand the test of time! They’re part of the horror-loving hobby that started it all!

Our expert says Imperial Toys was his favorite toy company of the 1970s and values all four figures at about $100 combined.

2. Leatherface Figurine

This Leatherface figure is from the original The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, one of Daniel’s favorite movies. Mass-produced toys from the film were rare at the time, making this piece a cut above the rest!

Daniel bought the figure in 1997. It’s accurate to the film, and like the rest of his collection, it’s displayed outside its original packaging. Daniel prefers to unbox and display his figures rather than keep them boxed up, making for a killer display!

According to our expert, the figure is worth $25. For Daniel, collecting isn’t about the investment... it’s about his love of horror.

3. The Exorcist Figurines

These pieces are from The Exorcist, a film Daniel’s parents told him he couldn’t watch when he was young. Of course, he watched it anyway — and he’s been possessed by a love of horror ever since!

These figures were released separately around the same time, and Daniel acquired this one in the mid-2000s. It’s a grail piece for many horror collectors because of its limited release.

Our expert, a toy shop owner himself, had never even had one in his store, proving just how rare this figure is!

He values the figures at $210 combined. It is a haunting piece of horror history.

4. Back to the Future Collectibles

Back to the Future was one of the first movies Daniel saw as a kid that opened his eyes to the art of filmmaking.

A few years ago, NECA announced a line of Back to the Future figures featuring 15 figures and numerous accessory packs. Daniel collected as many of the accessories as he could!

Along with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, the film helped inspire Daniel to become a filmmaker, giving this collection extra special meaning.

According to our expert, Daniel’s toys collectibles bring back childhood memories for so many people and that nostalgia is worth more than the money.

Our expert values the collection at $2,000 or more.

5. The Goonies Figurines

The Goonies is a classic, so it’s no surprise Daniel has these figures in his collection! Created by Mezco Toyz, the five figures were released in 2007, tapping into the nostalgia of fans who grew up watching the beloved film.

According to our expert, the figures are worth around $125 altogether.

6. Where the Wild Things Are Creatures

Where the Wild Things Are is a timeless classic! First published in 1963, the beloved book was ahead of its time, and its illustrations continue to inspire fans today.

According to Daniel, each of these seven figures was sold separately in its own box, and he has the complete set. Designed to capture the look of the original illustrations, these collectibles are like little pieces of art!

Our expert values all seven figures at around $150, but for Daniel, the memories behind them are worth far more.
