Jun. 7, 2026
AJ deserves top honors for his incredible sports and sneaker collection.
It all started in eighth grade. AJ loved sneakers from a young age, but his parents weren't the type to buy expensive shoes. Instead, his grandmother helped spark his passion by adding some of the first pairs to his growing collection.
As an '80s kid, the Air Jordan 1 has always been his favorite sneaker. Over the years, that passion has grown into a collection that's truly in a league of its own.
Today, Weir's collection features around 400 pairs of shoes, including autographed Air Jordans signed by Michael Jordan himself. But the sneakers are only part of the story. His collection also includes one-of-a-kind sports memorabilia.
From rare kicks to priceless memorabilia, his collection is a slam dunk, a perfect fit and a real game-changer for sports fans. Take a look!
1. 1985 Autographed Jordan Metallic Sneakers
One of AJ's favorite pairs of shoes is this 1985 blue metallic sneaker signed by Michael Jordan.
Authentic Michael Jordan signatures on 1985 shoes are rare. Jordan didn't sign many sneakers from that era, making examples like this difficult to find. AJ purchased the pair through a sports memorabilia company for $7,000, and they're even his size — a perfect fit.
Despite being more than 40 years old, the shoes remain in great condition. According to our expert, they're like a museum piece.
Today, the signed sneakers are valued at around $10,000, thanks to Jordan's enduring legacy. For collectors, this pair is a real step above the rest and proof that some investments never go out of style.
2. Chicago Bulls Jacket
This is another of AJ's favorite pieces.
Ever since he saw Michael Jordan wearing a similar jacket in 1998, he knew he wanted one of his own. While in Las Vegas, AJ learned that the jacket's creator, Jeff Hamilton, would be appearing at an event. After sharing stories about the Chicago Bulls, the two struck up a friendship and a business relationship.
Jeff Hamilton became famous for designing jackets worn by athletes, celebrities and sports fans alike. Today, he continues to create the iconic designs that made him a household name among collectors.
According to our expert, this custom jacket is worth around $7,000. Personalized with AJ's name and inspired by the style of the Chicago Bulls jackets made famous during the team's 1998 championship run, it's truly a work of art.
For collectors, this piece is a slam dunk.
3. Babe Ruth Autographed Drawing
This charcoal drawing of Babe Ruth was created by New York artist Zito in 1935 and is also signed by the Babe himself.
AJ acquired the piece 10 years ago, and it holds an incredible amount of history.
The artwork features several notable signatures, including the creator of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and legendary boxer Jack Dempsey.
With so many historic names attached, this piece is truly in a league of its own.
It has also been professionally authenticated, which collectors know is a home run when it comes to preserving value.
Our expert valued the piece at around $100,000, but to AJ, it's priceless.
4. Chicago Cubs World Series Lineup Card
This is the actual lineup card from the dugout for Game 1 of the 2016 World Series, used by the Chicago Cubs.
The lineup card belonged to manager Joe Maddon. AJ acquired it through a sports memorabilia auction, adding another unique piece to his collection.
While the Cubs did not win that game, they ultimately captured the World Series title, making this artifact an important part of baseball history.
Our expert, who admits he's more of a Chicago White Sox fan, still recognized its significance as a piece of Chicago sports history. He valued the lineup card at $3,500.
What's your favorite baseball team?
5. Harley-Davidson Chicago Jacket
This Chicago Harley-Davidson jacket is a perfect fit for AJ. He's from Chicago and rides Harleys, making it one of the most personal pieces in his collection.
In fact, it became even more special when rapper 50 Cent borrowed the jacket for a 2023 show at the United Center. His stylist contacted AJ the night before, and this was the jacket 50 Cent wore when he made his entrance.
The jacket was designed by Jeff Hamilton in 1999 and features the craftsmanship and attention to detail that made his work famous among sports and entertainment fans.
According to our expert, anything created by Jeff Hamilton remains highly collectible and continues to hold strong value. He estimated the jacket is worth around $3,000. From 50 Cent to Harley-Davidson history, this incredible piece proves that some collectibles never go out of style.
6. Autographed 1985 Jordan 1's
These are 1985 Air Jordan 1 sneakers, featuring another early signature from Michael Jordan. AJ wishes he knew the full story behind them, but he acquired the shoes from another collector.
They are his favorite pair in the collection and the style he wears most often. The Air Jordan 1 "Chicago" is widely considered the most recognizable shoe in the Jordan line. The year 1985 was especially significant because it marked the debut of Michael Jordan's first signature sneaker.
According to our expert, the connection to the Chicago Bulls, combined with Jordan's signature on his most iconic shoe, makes these sneakers highly desirable.
Our expert estimated the value of the sneakers at around $20,000.
