Estelle Getty said she would live with any of her Golden Girls co-stars
"And you couldn’t find four people working together so closely who are so totally different."
While the ladies on The Golden Girls have vastly different personalities, they all seem to get along very well as roommates.
Behind the scenes, the actors playing those iconic characters were just as close as they appeared to be on-screen.
“We girls have done 100 shows together already, so that’s not bad, is it?” Estelle Getty, better known as Sophia Petrillo, asked during an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald.

In a previous interview, Getty’s co-star, Betty White, admitted she had no desire to live with a roommate. Getty, on the other hand, saw no issue with actually living with one of her co-stars, as their characters had done for so long.
“I could probably live with any one of them,” said Getty. “And you couldn’t find four people working together so closely who are so totally different. We have a wonderful time doing the show.”
