Which TV characters would you most like to spend the holidays with?

Who would cook the best food, give the best presents and throw the best party?

For TV fans, there would be nothing better than to enter the world of their favorite shows and spend time with the characters. Unfortunately, no such technology exists to make that happen just yet. But we can dream!

If you could get together with classic TV characters for the holidays, which ones would it be? Make your choices below and see how many other people agree with you!

  1. Who would you want to cook a big holiday meal?
  2. Who would you want to help decorate the house?
  3. Who would you want to receive a present from?
  4. Who would be the best friends to be with if you were away from family for the holidays?
  5. If you got stranded while traveling for the holidays, who would you want to be with?
  6. Who would you want to build a snowman with?
  7. Who would you want to sing Christmas carols with?
  8. Whose house would you want to visit for the holidays?
  9. Who would you want to host a holiday party?
  10. Who would you reluctantly invite over for the holidays if they had nowhere else to go?

Which TV characters would you most like to spend the holidays with?

"My Brother the Angel" (32 episodes). Not enough for full syndication. Too bad it couldn't be rotated in with another short-lived sitcom.

Pacificsun Mark091 10 months ago
I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched are on Antenna TV (I think a Fox digital channel, Pacific coast). RFD, Mr. Ed and F Troop had a run on MeTV for a time. My hunch is Lone Ranger and Roy Rogers would be on "The Cowboy Channel" Link:

Jim Arness gave me a personally signed 11 X 14 photo of him just weeks B-4 he passed. Great guy. It was very sad to hear of his passing. He gave us QUALITY entertainment for so many decades.. I particularly enjoy the shows where he had to apply his own "sense of justice." There are ALWAYS tough calls to make as one goes through life. I can relate. Great guy - Jim Arness.

Agreed, Mark. METV's evening / prime time lineup has been on for so long that it is trash. 11:30, we watch Perry. Mannix and on from there are the good shows. I have contacted / complained to them about it. NOTHING . And NO, I do not have a friggin' DVR. So all we watch on METV is Perry.

I wouldn't call it trash. It’s a pretty organized lineup actually. I think my head would explode (insert a snide comment here) if I had to shift from Shirley Temple movies to Freakazoid cartoons to Ellery Queen and then a recurring 32 episodes of the Smothers Brothers sitcom "My Brother the Angel" (?) all within a primetime evening!

If you notice MeTV’s programming transitions gently from afternoon westerns to an adult cartoon (The Flintstones), a very popular Cop/Partner show (Adam 12) holding up quite well, then (MASH) an ensemble dramedy with some thought behind it. Then (TAGs) character/nostalgia driven, (Green Acres) just for laughs! and (Hogans Heroes) a clever character driven comedy, all before the (Carol Burnett) variety hour! People just want some steady relaxation at the end of day!

This isn’t about specialty, specialized, curiosity or archival shows, which can be found as desired, from designated resources. But is a stable offering of mainstream popularized and dependable family and mature audience enjoyment. You know what you’re getting by tuning into MeTV. And if not, then there are dozens of genre-dedicated digital channels and networks out there. Particularly now, with increased streaming services! Thing of it is, people want what they want, mainly because it’s free!
