The only reason these fathers may be forgotten is that you hardly ever see them on TV anymore, even on Antenna TV and ME TV, who are supposed to be all about the past. Do you really need to see Collector's Call when you could show The Courtship Of Eddie's Father again for people that haven't seen it in a long time or have never seen it at all? Think about it.

just about anything would be better than Collector's Call. So USELESS!!
Put on "Harry O"

They would have to do more than think about it. They would have to be able to obtain the rights to show. Many programs people suggest to MeTV to show are either unavailable at all or are already being shown by other networks.

''You got 9 out of 10'' ----------------Father Dowling approves of your dad-detecting skills! Got #10 wrong because I never heard of or watched, ''Crime With Father''? How could I if I never heard of it?

You got 10 out of 10. Father Dowling approves of your dad-detecting skills! Knew most of them but guessed on a couple others because I had never heard of them. Sometimes you can tell by the way a word fits into the title like #6 and #10.

8 out of 10. Father Knows Best is on FeTV. It's not as good as I Love Lucy or Leave it to Beaver, but it's a good show.

FeTV? TV for females?

I'll clear up the obscure ones! 4 was a movie spinoff with Leon Ames in the Spencer Tracy role, 6 was a sitcom with Merlin Olsen, and 10 is a little known ABC show from 1951. I only know this title from a small item in the famous Brooks/Marsh book!

Leon Ames was also in the TV adaptation of "Life with Father," (playing the William Powell role), which could have been another question in this quiz. He also once played the seldom-seen McMann (from "McMann & Tate") on Bewitched.
