The Rockford Files

Weekdays at 12 PM

eastern (on most MeTV stations)
Easy-going ex-con-turned-private-investigator Jim Rockford (James Garner) generally avoids fights, packing heat and never takes "open cases." Rockford isn't lazy or cowardly; he simply favors caution over recklessness and bravado. Just barely scrapping by, using a dilapidated mobile home as his home and office, Rockford earns his bread and butter solving cold cases, missing persons investigations and low-budget insurance scams against a sunny Los Angeles backdrop.

Which classic TV car should you drive?

No action hero is complete without an awesome automobile. From the Mod Squad's Challenger to Magnum's red Ferrari, cool cars have been a staple of cop shows. Heck, in the '80s, the cars were often a main character.  Not up for high speed car chases? There have been sweet vehicles for pleasant cruises down the highway, too. Just about every car in the 1950s and 1960s was a beauty (especially Green Hornet's Black Beauty). So which television car suits you? Take the quiz and find your automotive soul match.

Which TV crime solver are you most like?

Matlock, Rockford, Mason, Quincy. Some of these P.I.s and puzzle solvers had sidekicks. Some just had cool cars. But they all needed help.  So, which memorable television sleuth should you team up with? Answer these questions and find out.
